The Parliament’s Transport and Communications Committee has published its deliberation on Lex Malmi. In its deliberation, the Committee suggests the rejection of the people’s law initiative.

In addition, the Transport and Communications Committee suggests that the Parliament issues a statement requiring the Cabinet to take action in ensuring compensatory airport operations so that Malmi Airport’s aviation activities can continue within good access and distance.

The Parliament’s bulletin and the Committee’s deliberation can be found here (in Finnish):

Friends of Malmi Airport (FoMA) will wait for the results of the Parliamentary process before drawing conclusions.
