The district court issued a judgment in the land dispute of Malmi Airport at the turn of the year 2020-2021. It ruled to allow the eviction of the Malmi Airfield Association from Malmi Airport.
Without delay, already in January, the Airfield Association applied for permission to take its case to the Court of Appeal. The Association also demanded an immediate suspension of execution of the eviction, but the request was rejected and eviction was carried out after negotiations in March, even though the verdict was not yet final.
The situation has changed. The Airfield Association has today announced that the Court of Appeal has on 23 July 2021 granted the association permission to appeal the judgment of the District Court. The association will continue preparing a complaint, and will provide further information during August.
