In autumn 2018, the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) processed the complaints against Helsinki’s General Plan. The SAC approved three complaints concerning other Built Cultural Environments of National Significance, but dismissed the complaint concerning the area of Malmi Airport by a vote against the rapporteur’s presentation.
In spite of requests, the plaintiff, Friends of Malmi Airport Association (FoMA), has not been given the decision documents, which may be against the law concerning administrative courts and the general principles of openness. FoMA has filed a complaint to the Supreme Administrative Court and is preparing to take the matter to the European Court of Human Rights.
