Friends of Malmi Airport Association has filed a reminder about the city plan proposal of Sunnuntaikorttelit on 29 June 2023.
The surveys of the nature values of the Sunnuntaipalstat area west of the Airport are significantly incomplete. The planned heavy construction of apartment houses and roads would destroy a valuable desiduous woods (Metso class II and III) and the meadows in the area.
The city plan proposal is in direct conflict not only with Helsinki’s own City Strategy, calling for conservation of biodiversity and nearby access to nature for its citizens, but also with the Aviation Act.
